Coconut Dog Biscuits
Makes 1 1/4 lb of biscuits
Ingredients:
3/4 cup hot water
1/2 cup Crystal Coco coconut oil
1/2 cup Crystal Coco coconut flour
1 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour (this recipe is not yet tested as a gluten
free version)
2 tsp brown sugar
Method:
Pre-heat oven to 325ºF.
In a large bowl, pourhot water over coconut oil. When melted, stir in coconut flour, salt & egg.
Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time. Knead for a few minutes to form a stiff dough. Pat or roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into bones shapes and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 50 minutes, then cool completely. These be quite hard when they cool/dry.
